Spring is a New Begining

Like a stone rolling down hill, there is no stopping us now.
I have some new ideas about the direction my art is going.
Look forward to a couple of series on small covers and small tunics.
Also I am thinking about reincorporating the two dimensional surface, such as in a canvas or paper support.
And my third decision has to do with freestanding pieces.
Thanks to those who visited the Adjunct Art Show at Kilgore, it should remain up until March 30th or there abouts.

To my students:
It is good to have a break from school, however, you have this week up until Friday to complete your Critical Analysis Paper. Due date is having a completed hard copy in Class at the begining of class on Friday morning, and have the paper submitted digitally to www.turnitin.com before 11:59 pm Friday evening. There are no excuses for not having your paper. No late submissions!
I am looking forward to reading what you have written.

The exhibition is up at Kilgore College and it is good to see these works out in the open and where they can converse with each other.
I have been on Blue Dot and looking at their Swap Meet and have found it very interesting. I did get the inspiration to add a new page to my website.  This is a need which I have noticed here with "Maw."
I would like to write to shut-ins.  Look under Welcome for Pen Pals to see what I am talking about.
I am excited about Spring Break starting soon. I hope to get caught up on some projects.

On the Teacher page you can find the sub page- Images which will include the latest chapter images from our text book and which will possibly be in the test. And under the sub page- Review, look for Chapter 4 review.  This should be of help in studying for the test.

Under the sub page- Other you will find the Critical Analysis Format for your paper.
I hope you will enjoy other aspects of my website as well.

Art is often misunderstood, but just remember that artists create art for many different reasons: sometimes to please themselves, sometimes to tell you something which they feel is very important. View all art with a sense of possibility.  If you do not readily understand why the artist is working in this medium, or this technique, or even in this thought, have patience with the art and look at it with an eye first for the Formal aspects. When you have noted the formal elements of design and see how they are organized in the Principles of design then you will have a clue to the connections of the content and meaning and how the elements and principles support that idea or subject.
