Out of Garland High School I attended Stephen F. Austin S.U. in Nacogdoces, Texas.
I quit college and did not graduate.
After raising my family I decided to return to college. I was 54 years old when I registered to attend Kilgore College in Kilgore, Texas. I transfered from there to the University of Texas at Tyler, Texas and received my BFA in Studio Art in May, 2005 and my MFA in December, 2007.
I have taught college art courses since then at UTTyler and Kilgore College.
