Art Appreciation is all about seeing art and learning about art, past and present, and therefore applying what you have learned to what you see. This accumalation and analysis of knowledge in thinking, talking and writing about art is called "Critical Analysis." Critical analysis is not a negative term in art. It is the means by which we understand art.
For the most part we will take a closer look at the elements and principals in organizing and creating art by design. We will discuss the processes and tools the artist uses to formulate, and create their work and how they relate the meaning to you the viewer. We will also learn about the changes in art through the Art Movements of the Modern Art Era.
